Since I'm combining all the codebases of my sites and running off one server/DB, I've made similar announcement over on TwoCans which is where I have my TODO list that I always have whenever I do a major site upgrade. You can track my progress there and yell at me here to keep me on track (since there's no comment thread on that page).

• NP8 will only feature a forum and admin-created articles.
• The articles with comment threads that appear on the main portion of the site will actually just be forum threads in a specific display-as-article category.
• The Knowledge Base is integrated with the forum. There's no reason to keep them separate.

I do have a lot of work to do, but it's actually starting to take shape. I'm excited. Be excited. All 3 of you.

Note: I made this to-do list very recently consisting only of items I had left to do. That's why only 3 are marked off.

I always find the changes to the site interesting. In large part because they're so different. It's much more exciting than when other sites "change".
