I started taking classes at the University of South Dakota every summer starting at the end of 7th grade. It's really not all that uncommon nowadays.

Since I'm combining all the codebases of my sites and running off one server/DB, I've made similar announcement over on TwoCans which is where I have my TODO list that I always have whenever I do a major site upgrade. You can track my progress there and yell at me here to keep me on track (since there's no comment thread on that page).

  • NP8 will only feature a forum and admin-created articles.
  • The articles with comment threads that appear on the main portion of the site will actually just be forum threads in a specific display-as-article category.
  • The Knowledge Base is integrated with the forum. There's no reason to keep them separate.

I do have a lot of work to do, but it's actually starting to take shape. I'm excited. Be excited. All 3 of you.

Note: I made this to-do list very recently consisting only of items I had left to do. That's why only 3 are marked off.

What about our blog posts? How will it work?

If memory serves, we will politely ask an admin to post a blog post for us, and give them what we want written. If it is accepted by the admins, it will be posted and accredited to you.

The Nerdity Tests, if I'm correct, have remained largely (not totally) unchanged for six or seven years. And Google/Wikipedia made them nearly obsolete.
The point was for fun, and bragging rights.

People asked for a philosophy test so I added a stub for it so it'd show up in the question submission form, but it was never populated with the minimum number of questions for it to be functional (15).

And yes, the Nerdity Test has not changed since 2002. A time when the search provider war was being fought between Ask Jeeves and Alta Vista, and Wikipedia had a total of 249 articles.

"Do you own a cellular telephone" was one of the questions back then. Luckily I removed that.

I remember the days when I could cheat on the test by just choosing answers, submitting, and then hitting back and resubmitting answers until I got them all correct.
And these days I hear Wikipedia has almost a thousand articles. Maybe more. Most of them on Justin Bieber or sperm whales.
