I wanted to share that I have updated the 1kB forum script for some "crowd-control" to use IP logging, DNSBL bot checking, and fixed E_NOTICE errors. Still under 1024 bytes.

This 1kB script has always been a proving point for me that there is always a smaller way to do it.

Smaller is not *always* better--sometimes, somebody will have to read your code, and some languages (like Perl, TECO, or Lisp's embedded (FORMAT ...) language), which are extremely concise, also look suspiciously like line noise.

Most certainly. I can't imagine anyone running a real community off that script. However, my point was that it was neat to know that you could build a working system in 1kB. I just wanted to add some more functionality.
