I just realized this, it's actually really funny.
There is no love/ relationships section on NP.
is Blake trying to tell us something?

Trying to tell you to go ask in the real world to random strangers!

Or maybe it's that there are about a million dating sites out there.

I've never seen dating/relationships sections on any other forums, either, so perhaps they just don't fit with the rest of the forum.

The only reason I created a love/relationships category on the TwoCans forum was because sex-related stuff was inundating the rest of the forum and it was getting on everyone's nerves. I find the best way control discussion topics is by categorizing it in a way that people who want to ignore it can easily do so. Otherwise it just starts spilling over into everything else and there's no escape and it becomes a moderation nightmare.

NP isn't filled with horny 14 year olds so it isn't a problem here.

I'd love to delete that forum category. I really would. But the long term effects of doing so are actually worse.

Anyone who feels the need for a love/relationship forum, post stuff related to mating. Everyone else, don't. That's for those lazy people wh odon't bother reading through the thread.

Relationships and Stuff is a scary place.

Nerd Paradise does prove (to an extent) that nerds are more introverted, and therefore less likely to broadcast their romantic/sexual woes to the public.

Basically, NP is filled with horny 14-year olds, but they just don't like to show each other.
... Ok, maybe not, but you get my point.

".xxx" TLD, anybody?

Yeah, there was talk a couple years ago about creating a XXX domain and disallow porn sites in .com, .net, etc., so that you could tell for sure what kind of site you're about to go to. Legislators missed the point completely and thought it would just legitimize adult content instead of segregating it. Or something like that. It was a great idea, but it failed because of bozos.

Wow. Idiots.
That's why we need to get into the gov't.

Maybe nerds like us should run the gov't.

Blake or Omni for president!

Not Blake, I'd rather stick to the normal (Gregorian?) date/time system.

Barrack Obama currently owns a Blackberry, Macbook, and iPad.

Owning technology does not make you a nerd. Owning gadgets is not requisite for nerdity. I have multiple examples in my own family of people who think they're up on tech simply because they bought some.

Exactly. The President is a nerd because of other incidents in his 2008 campaign and shortly after his victory
