It's because of Doctor Who that my friends describe me as Britishy.

I'm still waiting for Jack to come back into the new series. Just had a thought, what if River kills Jack/severs his head off. I doubt it though, but it would answer some of my questions as to how Jack went from being awesome to a head in a jar, but that would kind of mess up the whole "Torchwood" series they've got going.

Empress, you have a good point. How does Jack turn into The Face of Bo?

He regenerates enough times and he body slowly evolves?
I'm also a Donna lover, she and the Doctor played so well together and seemed like a good smack on the nose (that he needed) after Rose and Martha. You know, someone who wasn't completely in love with him?

I honestly really like Amy's personality. She's fun to watch.

The world 'evolve' doesn't fit there. 'Decays' or 'Dissolves' might.

Evolve would fit if we consider the Face of Boe to be a more evolved being. I really wouldn't say decay or dissolve either. The Face doesn't really look like a rotting zombie head to me. I personally doubt we'll ever really know if Jack is the Face of Boe since there seems to be some debate even among the shows producers on that matter.

The word evolve doesn't fit because that's not how evolution works. The face of boe isn't Jack's offspring of many generations.

Evolution doesn't necessarily involve offspring. Linky.

When referring to a biological change? To save confusion, yeah it does.

Perhaps "mutate" would fit better than "evolve"?

I think it's a bit late to avoid confusion. The popularity of things like Pokemon has already ensured that.

I wonder if Jack can continue to sustain wounds when he regenerates, such as losing an arm forever or say an entire body.

I think he was exploded in one episode... they put all the pieces in a body bag. Lots of screaming.

It was part of the Children of Earth story. It was rather good, I thought. Heart wrenching, too.

I really miss Torchwood. Maybe I should watch the series again.

Thought I should share this

message me if you can't figure out the secure password, but it's pretty obvious.

EDIT: "Mickey's" site is pretty awesome too

That makes me far happier than it should

Blink is by far one of the creepiest episodes of anything I have ever seen anywhere. It amazes me that Doctor Who can go from a premise that is usually comical to something that nerve rackingly suspenseful.

I know right? I agree. But it was very well written.

'Blink' was the first episode I ever saw. I was hooked instantly.

As a second generation Whovian, by genetics not labeled by the 2nd REgeneration of the Doctor, I have watched many the episode of Doctor Who. I can say, without a doubt, by far, this show is the best. That opinion may be tainted with bias, but I still believe it to be true. When it comes to, generally, great writing I can always turn to this show. Also, it doesn't matter what mood I intend to put myself in, I can always find an episode of Doctor Who that can influence just that.

I will admit to being a Whovian Fangirl and will even go so far as to mention my life-size cut-out of the 10th Doctor in all of his David Tennant glory. I approve of Matt Smith, but it certainly took some getting used to, though I should have expected to like him the moment he put on the Bow Tie. Bow Ties certainly are cool. Although, I remember having to get used to David after Christopher left. I remember how I could not stand David Tennant and I would scream at the screen (those last 3 words were certainly fun to type, Hooray crazy-brained medication![I seriously dislike crazy-inducing medication]) "BRING BACK THE 9TH DOCTOR!" Sure it wasn't catchy but I haven't gotten very far in any of my picketing attempts...

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that Doctor Who can be enjoyed by all. It shows a definite sci-fi side, that's certain, but it also has romance (Cue Rose Tyler and 9th/10th Doctor or Rory who waited for thousands of years for Amy Pond in the latest season). It has action (as many sci-fi does) and adventure. Doctor Who has it all. And now I've spent all my time. Thanks for listening if you did.

I was surprised Eccleston only had one season. They're going to run out of regenerations! I think he deserved more than a single season. I can understand why they did it (to give more information to people who had just started watching the show), but I didn't like it.
