Hmm...I do tend to have nerdpiphanies sometimes, but I don't remember them.

One time I was in a room where someone was reading off a 10-digit phone number. As they read it off, I added the digits in my head and made sure their cumulative sum wasn't divisible by 3 and also made sure that the last digit was a 1, 3, 7, or 9. Immediately after he said the last digit and instantly realizing it met this criteria, I blindly (but in my most confident voice I could conjure) said "that's a prime number". After a bystander pulled out a TI-89, it turned out to actually be a prime number. It was dumb luck, but I had everyone fooled into thinking I was a savant.

You win the thread.

I tend to ramble quite often on random intellectual subjects based on simple questions asked to me, eventually always connecting them to some political issue. When people ask me something I don't yet know about, I answer "Ask me again tomorrow"

I just remembered one. In my History of East Asian Societies class, I managed to BS my way through an entire class with information I had picked up off of Dynasty Warriors.

A friend of mine said something that immediately made me embarrassed to be standing next to him. I facepalmed, and when I took my hand off my face, I realized I had made a vulcan salute in the process.

When I bring a textbook on Calculus, Biology, Physics, ect. to the lunch room.

when I wore my PE shirt, coat, and beanie to the school dance.

well, I don't know about myself, but the nerdiest classroom event was when we spent several minutes in Classical Mechanics where the Professor did an estimate of how far the earth would move if the entire human population got on one side of the earth and jumped.

answer: not a whole lot. ~10^-13 m

One time at a franchise restaurant I frequent while sitting and eating by myself (I'm a loser) I looked at my receipt and kept staring at the restaurant's phone number. After getting home, I found out that it checked out to be a prime number. I emailed this information to the CEO and they gave me a free meal (they're a very nerd-friendly franchise).

In a college physics class my professor asked for examples of matter with a specific gravity of less than one. I said, "A duck." My professor was the only one that got it, but she said it doesn't count.
Also, in calculus 2, the day before one of our breaks we decided to have a laid back "fun" math day. It consisted of two and a half hours of everybody writing as many proofs for the Pythagorean theorem as we could remember. Every student got involved (there were less than ten of us.)

Once, I was trying to read the alt text for a comic in the newspaper.

Marry me?

My baby brother and I started discussing all the scientific problems with the story he was assigned to do in class. He turned that in as the homework assignment.

I find it disheartening that I haven't gone to that school since grade three and I still get called in to the guidance office...

We were doing introductions for a new guy one time. After Ann, Anne, and Anna were named, my thought was, "But that's okay because they take different arguments."

I once thought about jutting in to some conversation with some guys i saw talking about calculus.

Then I remembered how short I was, and how creepy it will be to have a seemingly 9-10 year old guy (which i'm not) butt in.

In my state, we have a writing test. I was one of the five kids in my school who got a perfect score on it, so the school feels the need to reward us. We were each sent an invite out--which included the information that our 'prsence is rquired'.

I couldn't stop laughing and pointed it out to my teacher. He laughed a little, until I pointed out the nature of which the invitation was.
