720 episodes of anything sounds like a chore to me, don't matter what show it is.

720 episodes, assuming 40 minutes from the get go is something like 480 hours of Doctor Who. You either have to devote a lot of time to it, or start later in.
Or start at the beginning and stop.

Let's say you only want to give it a 100 hours, why does it need to be the last 100 hours more than the first 100 hours?

If you're totally new to the show I think it's probably a good idea to start at the reboot(9) because that gives you a taste for it and if you really do like it go back and watch the old ones with the rather funny graphics.

I want to watch it, but I'm not going to devote so many hours just getting through the older seasons when the newer ones appeal much more to me

As has been said, start with the 2005 season 1: the Ninth Doctor.

By the way, the Ninth Doctor is incredible.

I'll do that, sometime. I'll have to look for it online, I assume it won't be too hard to find

I've decided that the episode Blink created an unexplainable, infinite time loop.

It's this one. That scene was so amazing.

Great, thank you! I thought it was in series 3.

Oh, no biggie. I'm glad I got to watch the scene again.

The Face of Bo?

The funny part is, the writers still refuse to confirm this as fact. The evidence lines up, but there's still enough mystery that you don't really know.

It's what makes it even more fun to watch. And it makes you keep following it, three series later to see if you will ever find it if it's true.

Okay, so, I just finished watching The Doctor's Daughter (S4E06), and I became curious of the actress that portrayed Jenny, since she is pretty damn pretty. Using the wonderful resource of episode end credits and Wikipedia, I find she was played by Georgia Moffett. Looking at her wiki page, something caught my eye. Apparently, at the end of this last year, she had married David Tennant.

I found it hilarious and slightly mind blowing that after playing an odd father/daughter thing, they married each other.

I'm sure most of you David Tennant lovers knew this already, but I will let my mind be blown.

And they have a kid called Olive. I know, it's pretty funny/awesome.

David Tennant or Matt Smith? i saw David first so i like him better

Start at the Ninth Doctor. He's a really great Doctor. Seriously, fantastic. I blasted through the Ninth Doctor episodes, and I really liked them all.

As for the beginning, maybe I'll eventually go back, but as of now, I'm content with where I started. The series creators made it easy to jump right in without a problem at the Ninth Doctor AKA Season 1, 2005.

What he said. :)
(Fantastic!)

David Tennant. I love the ninth Doctor, he has some of the funniest lines.

I liked Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant. I think that Eccleston should have been the doctor for a longer period of time though. Meh.

My favourite is Tom Baker as the Fourth Doctor. He gave the role a sort of brooding-yet-capricious quality no one else has matched.

End of fourth season...so....so dramatic and amazing! Incredible three part finale, to say the least. How will the next two seasons manage to impress me that much again? (He asks knowing they will.)

You're watching the Christmas specials, too, right? And I'll link you to a couple Red Nose specials if you message me on facebook to remind me. :P

I'll be sure to remind!

Edit: Oh yes, and I'm watching the Christmas specials. Absolutely fantastic things, those are. With that, I say, goodbye, 10th Doctor. Hello to you, Mr. 11th Doctor. I do hope you are one to impress.
