6 wasn't our Vista; TDEB was.

Although since this was such a radical rewrite, I'm hoping this won't be the "NP Vista".

hahahahahahahaha

This must mean that NP4 was our ME?

Omni, quite.

Blake, the analogy didn't feel right initially, but the more I try to refute it, the harder it is.

I don't know if I was just laughing or crying. Or if it was both. Or something else entirely.

Fixed.

If that's true then we'd better get this right because if we don't the next successful version will be v11.

Wait, there's hope! It could be the Fibonacci sequence, meaning that NP8 would be the next successful one!

But that's far worse! Because Fibonacci numbers are rarer than primes.

Actually, they do have the same cardinality, so maybe it's not so bad.

But that would mean that NP7 will fail, and Blake just spent 5 months working on it.

Still, both patterns are supported by the extant data (2, 3, and 5 succeeded; 4 and 6 failed).

On what other site would we start mapping mathematical patterns to site successes/failures?

Also, perhaps this is version 8, if you consider TDEB version 6 and NP6 version 7. In case we're debating this a couple versions down the road.

Who's "Yash" ? Isn't that a name? We liked to be called by usernames, so please don't break anyone's Title of Secrecy

Yes, vista was a catastrophe. Well, not exactly a catastrophe, but possibly my least favorite version of windows. What do you all think of Windows 7? Or are you all Linux people?

My honest opinion is that Vista got the same bad rap that XP got when it first came out. Unfortunately, because Microsoft didn't have a current "Windows ME" to look worse than Vista, Vista was lambasted. Vista is a better OS than XP. It just didn't have the same application and driver support that people expected immediately.

On the other hand Windows 7 enjoys the maturity of the driver and application development of Vista, so people regard it more favorably.

tldr?
Everybody hated Vista because it was different. Everyone loves Windows 7 because it's the same.

I disagree. I didn't mind Vista, but it's not hard to tell that 7 is far superior in many aspects. Vista's concept was good, but it had a few problems that ruined it for most people.
