The Forum > Technology > Good Proxies?
Hello all! I need a list of proxies to use at school. If you think that proxies are bad, consider this. THEY BLOCKED NP!!!!!

WHAT? NOWAI! [lol]

Does browse by IP still work? Ifnot, they probably blocked proxy.org or anything similar too so you can't get a list of them. The only I know at the moment is proxify.org (used to know a couple more, but I got my own laptop and am not at secondary school anymore).

I always went to np[version number].nfshost.com when I was in middle school, as they really didn't have effective blocking

I'm surprised they block it at all. Gaming sites visited by half the school (miniclip) sure, but not a website visited by 1 person.

Websense has practically invincible blocking. The only two ways I know to access blocked websites are:
Most schools have their blocking software set up incorrectly, so it fails to block certain sites when preceded with "https://" as opposed to "http://" Sites this works on include "facebook.com" and "netflix.com".
Use TorP

ultrasurf and torbrowser are good programs to use. Install them on a flash drive and run them.

Anything for the technologically-impaired?

Peacefire has a lot of information on ways to get around censorware, and some howtos for setting up and running your own proxy.

As for NP being blocked, it's probably because I've mentioned Peacefire before, and censorware absolutely hates even a mention of that site.
